Pommes au Four

This recipe is so easy even my husband could manage it. Peel and core the apples—be sure to use an apple corer. Spread sugar at the bottom of a glass dish, put the apples in the dish, then add liquefied jam to the cored hole, made by adding a touch of water to your favorite jam, microwaving briefly and mixing well. You can also add chocolate, nuts, raisons, whatever you love. Bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees and serve cold with vanilla ice cream. Guaranteed to work even if you’ve never boiled an egg.
