Can a Pastry Be Classified as a Drug?

My cousin told me that I should try a kouignette as we strolled through his village in Brittany. It looked like a pastry. I took a very small bite of this chewy, dense concoction and was quickly overcome by a sugar/butter rush of overdose proportions. WOW. I continued to nibble until my kouignette was gone. I walked around the town with a warm, contented glow for several hours. We left Brittany the next day, and I went looking for this wicked galette in every patisserie in the Loire. I came up empty. Kouignettes are strictly a Breton indulgence. Just as well. This is one pastry that should definitely be classified as a drug.
