The View as You Enter the Dining Room

This slighting curved archway leads to a dining room I designed in the traditional French style. Centering the scheme is an Aubusson rug which provides a classic platform for the double pedestal mahogany table. The chairs are custom Louis XVI covered in Nobilis striped fabric with contrasting blue on the back. The two crystal chandeliers are by Vaughan, giving just the right touch of formal elegance without being overly intrusive. Two half moon tables, a pair of double sconces and a pair of display tables emphasizes the symmetry of the space. The eye is drawn to the openness and drama of the elevated trey ceiling through the use of a light, sky blue, while the yellow damask on the walls adds subtle pattern and radiance in the formal French manner.
