Master Bath Metamorphosis

I was sitting with my friend the other day, looking at some photos of her lovely home in South Orange. The interior design of this comprehensive renovation was a challenging project, and involved substantial change to the existing layout. My friend and I were surprised and amused to find the photo above left taken just as work began, which gives a good indication of some of the changes made.

The design of the master bath involved closing the entrance in the photo, creating a walk-in shower, adding built-in cabinets, vanities and mirrors, and a checkerboard Carrera stone floor. She remembered the difficulties of living in the home during the project, as the family moved to the third floor for months while the worst of the havoc was wrought on the space below.

She is now living in the home of her dreams, and I am so pleased and proud that the project worked out so well.

You can see more pictures of this home here, and more before and after pictures here.
