Making an Entrance

The barrel ceiling in the entrance foyer of this home in rural New Jersey makes a dramatic statement. I chose a pale antique grey/blue color for the ceiling and the continuous light in the molding shines evenly on the recessed panels. The walls are hand painted limestone block, while a French lantern shines over the center hall table. The dining room behind the foyer features a custom made mahogany table over an Aubusson rug. Chrystal chandeliers hang over the table and two antique sconces can just be seen at the back. Final accessorizing is yet to come, but the basic interior design and architectural detail can definitely be appreciated in this view.
