A Sunroom for All Seasons

In winter I enjoy sipping hot cocoa while surveying the frozen landscape from the comfort of my French Country style sunroom. In summer the space is equally appealing. When humidity or bugs or the neighbor’s leaf blower are tiresome, I retreat to my climate controlled Eden.

I found the distressed table in an antique store, and it makes a perfect platform for my constantly changing menagerie of plants and flowers. The antique blanket chest, rattan chairs and patterned wallpaper on the ceiling are all elements I’m partial to. I also mix my plants with (heresy!) an occasional silk version, like the fica in the picture. I defy anyone to spot the imposter, placed artfully among the living, and with no dead leaves it always looks perfect.
