Sheers—thin, mostly opaque fabrics—are among my favorite window coverings. If you’re looking for sophistication and an airy lightness they are incomparable. Sheers come in large widths with no seams, they drape and hang beautifully, and you can add trim to the edges and put them on elegant rods. I use them either in relaxed roman shades or panels.
