What’s Wrong with These Pictures?



Something is not quite right in these photos, but what? Look again and you’ll see that the buildings are all slightly impossible—they defy the laws of physics, are missing key elements like windows, or just make no functional sense. This is the art of Filip Dujardin, displayed in a series he calls “Fictions.” Part reality, part fantasy, and completely fascinating, this photographer shoots real buildings and then pushes the composition just far enough to be vaguely absurd. It’s as if you’ve just entered (cue the spooky music) The Twilight Zone.
